Well I luckily got this chance to be one of the spectator in the conversation of club committee and faculty supervisor one day. The club’s here are not like what we had in our engineering college. It is more sensitive here, in a sense that here we brain storm at every nuances that
could occur from the selection of committee members, deciding event talk topic till the organising plan. They meticulously work with whatever time they have got and they see themselves in every involved criteria because signing up is free and easy. The faculty advisor role is just when the commitee changes and other suggestive decisions there has to have some wiser advices. Decisions made here by people are with varied interests and skills with background, identifying them and incentivise them to encourage the participation. Faculty does not really impose their ideas rigidly on students. I really like this way even when they teach and every time I interact with them because you can have your critical thoughts over the teachings. By the way critical does not always mean that it is negative. Introducing this cultural club it we get chance to interact with other batch students also :P. This reminds me of adding one more thing to this text about the classes we had so far. After attending 90 minutes of class you say to yourself “Hey boy you had enough, now just get a pillow and fall in limbo” because those 90 minutes are so intense sometimes. Teacher’s here actually come prepared with hard copy and script also of what he/she has to deliver. Definitely, it takes a lot of their time and effort to do which I now realised when we are submitting our reading responses. By the way our Sunday’s and Thursdays are really ruined and we now cannot plan anything even on weekends. Thank god we gotta submit 10 out of 12 RR so I can now plan for 2 weekends.
